The X-Files Fanbook Project

	I started to watch X-Files as a Phile in 1997 when the 4th Season was on German television BUT 
I watched XF earlier! Actually, I always sleep over at my Grams on Fridays. Well, my Grams did go to bed 
very early, so I was able to watch TV on my own and I remember watching X-Files. So thanks to my lovely 
Grams,...but don't tell my parents ;o)

	During my difficult school time, I loved to watch XF. Scully helped me a lot, she became my role 
model.  Be strong.  Be yourself. Never give up. I watched XF until the last episode in 2002. Well, I followed 
Gillian Anderson a little, but mostly lost the World of X until the 2nd movie was announced in November 2007. 
To be honest, I didn't know how much Phile I had in myself until then ;o) (and most of the time, my Phile friends 
are shocked and not willing to believe, that I stopped being interested in XF from 2003-2007)

	A couple of weeks later, I met my Munich-Phile-Friends for the first time. Since this first time we 
became close friends and have shared a lot of memories! Like searching all of Munich's Cinemas for THE ONE 
Poster, the "IWTB" Poster in 2008 and finally falling down to worship it, being part of the IWTB London Premier, 
meeting Philes all over the world, having most epic moments at the London Premiere and watching Gillian play 
"Nora" in Ibsens A Dolls House in London 2009, and meeting Frank.

	All these friendships are unique. It's crazy how many friends I've made, met in person and through the 
internet. Some of them I've never even met, but we are close. This Fandom is Philetastic ;o) it's like having a 
wonderful big family! Including everybody who worked on the show.

	So, I love XF because of the Philedom, Scully and... the Scully and Mulder relationship. I've been a Shipper 
from the beginning.  When I re-watched all Seasons a couple of months earlier and was able to once again see how 
this friendship, relationship, soul mates developed, I felt like crying...It's wonderful, they start as strangers and get 
closer to each other. Then they begin this beautiful friendship and as Scully said herself:
"Well, it seems to me that the best relationships-- the ones that last-- are frequently the ones that are rooted in 
friendship. You know, one day you look at the person and you see something more than you did the night before. 
Like a switch has been flicked somewhere. And the person who was just a friend is... suddenly the only person you 
can ever imagine yourself with."

This is just beautiful!

	Well, but the coolest thing ever happened, when my University tutor gave me her permission to write my 
music thesis about "The musical development in a television series on the basis of THE X-FILES"!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, I was 
able to write my thesis about X-Files, about its music and the genius Maestro Mark Snow. I was able to lay my heart in 
every sentence, every word. I was able to tell the world, that XF is not only about Aliens, that its music is one of the 
most important things (next to Mulder and Scully).  I was able to tell about Mark Snow and... to meet him in person 
and become a friend.

	I wish for The X-Files to live long with its Philes. I hope that Philes look after their friendships and that 
people get to know the series the way we did. 

And… I wish for a 3rd movie, to complete the awesomeness of The X-Files.
