A little something. 03/09/2011
I know it's been a while since the last one of these. Times have been busy!
I just wanted to take time to address some e-mails I've been getting from a lot of people who are excited about making their own entry, but don't know where to start. The task may seem daunting, I know, but the best advice I can give is to just start scribbling something down. Just start putting thoughts to paper. It doesn't need to be structured or perfect or even make sense at first. Write down the first thing that comes to mind when you think about the show. I promise that if you keep writing something will come of it. It will become clear what you really care about and what you have the most to say about. If you're still having a hard time and need someone to spitball ideas with, please don't hesitate to shoot me an e-mail. I will be more than happy to brainstorm with you :)
In other news, I've made a few changes here and there to the website in the last few weeks and I've got some pretty cool new stuff that should be up next week-ish. So, stay tuned for that!
I also want to plug a new-ish website that I'm happy to be affiliated with. It's The X Files Truth podcast. Each podcast features a different episode. They discuss the case in depth, feature new websites, and relay any XF related news. It's very cool and definitely something you should check out!
Alright, that's all for now :) Thanks everyone!
Happy TenThirteen! 10/13/2010

Things have been busy, busy. I'm in the middle of going through a load of new entries and I'm excited! You guys have done such a great job and, once again, I encourage you to write write write.
FYI: If anyone has a webpage they'd like to link, do not hesitate to let me know. I'd be glad to put it up :)

Week One 08/27/2010
Let me start off by saying that this is my first blog and I hope I don't bore you to death! OK. I want to thank everyone for their support in this undertaking! Everyone has been sooo great and helpful and supportive. It's been a week since the site went up and I'm so excited about the reaction from you - the fans! I've been receiving e-mails and essays all week and I'm so glad that so many of you are willing to participate. I'm reading over the entries and I will be posting them over the next week. I want to answer a couple of questions that I've been getting about the project. First, there is currently no deadline for entries. I want this collection to be absolutely monsterous and I know that will take some time so all I can say is "Keep writing!!" Another question I've been getting is "Does the essay have to be in English?" Answer: No, it does not. If you prefer another language, contact me and we'll figure it out. Some very helpful people have volunteered to help me translate :)
I understand that the topic of the essay is a bit broad and finding a starting point can be daunting, but I didn't want to specify what you should write. Basically, I want everyone to talk about what they find most interesting about the show. Why are we still talking about it 17 years later? Why are we still as passionate as we were at the height of its success? That’s the reason I wanted start this collection. Each fan has his or her own reasons for loving this show. In my opinion, the basis of The X File’s enduring success is its ability to connect with people in a very unique and special way. The most passionate of fans have formed a personal connection with the show. We’re invested in the story lines and the lives of each character. As the saying goes, “They’re real to me.” Some people might find this crazy, but it’s my favorite part of the fandom. I like being able to lose myself in this fictional world and I love that I’m not the only one. Sharing this unparalleled passion is what makes the X-Phile community so amazing. 8 years have passed since the series finale, but we haven’t said ‘Goodbye’ and I hope we never do.
Enough rambling for now. Hopefully I've answered some of your questions :)
